About me

Hi! I’m Kieran and I’m a documentary wedding photographer from the wonderful city of Sheffield. I shoot weddings all over the UK and I also love to travel abroad

I live in a recently refurbished old house with my wife Jo and two lovely children. Jo and I got married back in October 2013. It was the best day ever (as everyone will keep telling you yours will be, and it will!) We had our own ale on tap with a personalised beer pub badge, bonfire-night-inspired food and drinks in a cosy pub with our nearest and dearest. There’s nothing better than having all your favourite people in one room – and even though it feels like ages ago now, we still often talk about what an amazing time we had whilst looking at our own photographs.

My favourite things in the world are crisp and sunny autumnal days and good food like fry ups cooked for me by my awesome wife Jo on a Sunday morning after a wedding. When I’m not shooting weddings you’ll usually find me chilling on the sofa watching movies snuggled up with my beautiful family. I’m a total movie lover, and Christopher Nolan and Stanley Kubrick are my two favourite directors. Watching Interstellar in 70mm IMAX was a real treat and something I’ll always remember.

There’s absolutely no way I can start the day properly without a decent filter coffee. Likewise, I can’t edit your wedding photos without listening to my favourite music, especially tracks by Boards of Canada or The Cinematic Orchestra. So you can quite rightly picture me at home in front of your wedding photos, nodding my head, sipping a coffee and making your photos look amazing

My love of art and film is what got me into photography, but my background in shooting video has also been a huge factor. When I film documentaries I’m telling stories. This is something I constantly have in my head when photographing a wedding – your story. Or more accurately, the many stories that make up a wedding day.

I’ve been a wedding photographer for six years and it’s just the best job ever. I love that I can both be an artist and also capture meaningful memories for couples to look back on forever.

My couples are super relaxed, and the last thing they want is a photographer who is cheesy and takes over their wedding day. My wedding photography style is natural and artistic. I capture all the happy and special moments that happen, and let you get on with having a fantastic day. My favourite parts of a wedding day are all the chilled “in between” bits, because they give me a chance to capture people when they’ve totally relaxed and forgotten about me and my camera.

Your wedding is all about having a wonderful time with your favourite people. You don’t care about formalities or worrying about the little things that don’t matter – you just want to eat, drink and be merry with your friends and family.

If this sounds like you, and you like the sound of me and how I work, then get in touch!
